I see lots of falling leaves and Christmas Cards in the shops so it is just as well the church is well prepared for the next few months.
To celebrate the arrival of the cooler and longer evenings we hope as many Members as possible will join us for our first Social Event on the calendar. Once more we are very fortunate in having Nita Saunders as our guest.
Nita has just returned from a very enjoyable visit to Canada where her work was outstanding. How fortunate are we to have such a fine medium as one of our Calendar Girls! So come along on the 26 October, meet Nita again, have a chat with friends and enjoy a glass of wine, cheese and tea or coffee depending on your tastes.
The first Saturday of November also sees another popular event. Our Festive Fair promises to offer some wonderful Christmas shopping. £1 gains you entry to a variety of stalls and with what seems an endless supply of tea, coffee, sannies and cakes. Our mini sittings always go like the proverbial hotcakes so take the opportunity to book an afternoon sitting in advance. Morning sittings will still be on a first come first served basis.
Our REMEMBRANCE Service is always very important and close to our
hearts. Please join us on that Sunday to recall the events of 100 years ago and give thanks for the continuing sacrifices and heroic actions of so many wonderful servicemen and women.
Know that our doors are open to everyone regardless of colour, cast or creed. May we continue to join together and help each other feel free
and comfortable to find a closer walk with our God.
